I’m Tayla, a 25-year-old from the UK with a slightly unhealthy need to be outdoors and a habit of booking one-way flights.
A few years ago, I moved to Canada on my own and discovered snowboarding… and that was it. Completely hooked. What started as a season abroad turned into a bigger shift in how I wanted to live – more mountains, more fresh air, more saying yes to things that scare me a little.
I’ve lived and worked in Canada and Australia, travelled to 30+ countries, and built my life around chasing change, beautiful sights and really good coffee. I’ll actually plan my day around finding a decent flat white with an almond gluten free croissant.
This year I’m heading back to Canada, partly because it feels like unfinished business, and partly because I know there’s more out there I didn’t get to experience the first time round.

Through this blog, I want to show that travel doesn’t have to be luxury resorts and five-star budgets. It can be working abroad, bunkbeds, long bus journeys, cheap flights, ski seasons, last-minute plans and figuring it out as you go. It’s not always polished but it’s always possible.
If you’re someone who feels most alive outside, dreams about living abroad, or just wants to see more of the world without draining your savings, you’re in the right place.
Let’s go somewhere.
